Sanctuary History & Temperament
Surabhi was welcomed to Niyamatpur Gir Goshala in June 2021 after being rescued from acute transit distress. Upon arrival, our veterinary team administered IV electrolytes, calcium tonics, and fresh green forage to revive her vitality.
Today, Surabhi is one of the calmest matriarchs in Shed A. She is the mother of 8-month-old calf Nandini, and enjoys morning brushings and peaceful shade grazing in the open paddock.
